Junior Format

Here’s a brief overview of the format: Players will develop their skills by competing in team-style events designed to prepare them for college-level play. The NCPA format mirrors our collegiate tour with small adjustments, ensuring a seamless transition for athletes.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

  • Outside of league play and the junior tour, coaches will have players compete using our Regional Format which consists of men's doubles, men's singles, women's doubles, women's singles, and mixed doubles. This format emphasizes playing the most amount of games in the least amount of time against the most amount of teams. Players will quickly gain competitive experience through tournament play.

LEAGUE FORMAT

  • Round robin where all local teams in the same age bracket will play against one another at least once where they are then seeded into playoffs.

    • Minimum 4 teams will qualify for playoffs (dependent on number of teams in the league).

  • A match consists of 8 total games:
    • 1 men's doubles, 1 women's doubles, two mixed doubles, two men's singles, 2 women's singles.
    • A Sudden Death Singles game will be played (9th game) if the final score is 4-4.

  • If there are is not an even ratio from men to women which is highly likely, a match will look different... Best of 3 matches. Match example below:
    • Two men's doubles and two men's singles each match. Same thing for women's.
    • A Sudden Death Singles game will be played (5th game) if the final score is 2-2.

  • The top teams in a league that qualify for playoffs later in the year will automatically qualify to compete in regionals. Some teams that did not qualify for playoffs may still be selected to compete in regionals.

    • This is exclusive to competitive players ages 12-18 years old.
