TIME COMMITMENT

*View season outline for more specifics... This is a quick summary of the general time commitment for a coach.*

  • 6-8 month season depending on age group.

  • Estimated 150 hours per team per year.

    • Twice per week 1.5 hour sessions  (3 hours per week).

    • Once per month Saturday combined session, camp, or mini tourney with local teams... (3 hours per month). Local coaches coordinate with one another.

  • Highly recommended having 3 total teams minimum...

    • Most efficient use of time and money. Run back to back trainings and during those once a month events, your teams will all be there at the same time... Making more money in far less time the more teams you take on.

*NOTE* - more info on teams and team sizes are below.

RECRUITING COACHES AND PLAYERS

  • Currently we have over 150 NCPA coaches around the world who are prepping for launching in May of 2025 including thousands of young players who are getting involved. However, we are looking to form teams near our coaches to make travel as easy as possible and continue our rapid growth. You all play a massive role in recruiting.

  • We are asking all coaches to spread the word and recruit as many local coaches and young athletes as possible in order to be able to run leagues in your backyard.

  • Before tryouts in March/April of 2025, we are having all coaches create a list (google doc) of...

    • Coaches (name, email, city of residence)

    • Players (name, email if applicable - parents' names, emails, city of residence).

    • Each month after coaches are onboarded, they will email ncpa.official.contact@gmail.com with that list of contact info. We will be keeping in touch month by month before launch in May.

LEAGUE PLAY

  • Local leagues start July/August and end November.

  • Games and playoffs are coordinated and run by local coaches (timing of matches, days of league play, etc.).

    • We will provide a schedule and guideline for coaches to go off of. Schedule (link coming soon) Schedules announced in the months leading up to the league.

  • The leagues will be qualifiers for State Championships, Regionals, then Nationals. More details can be found under the season outline.

5

TEAMS

  • Team sizes are a minimum of 8 players maximum of 16 players.

    • Teams can consist of all boys or all girls.

    • The preferred team is half boys and half girls but this is NOT mandatory. The goal is immerse players in NCPA's team format... Coaches need to get familiar with this format.

    • A coach can have teams of all the same age group or different ages.

  • Age groups can overlap.

    • For example, 12-14 year olds may all be on the same team.

    • Players placement on a team heavily based on skill level. If a younger player is good enough to compete with older players, they will be placed on that higher level team. This ensures the quickest development for an NCPA junior athlete.
